SEGMENTATION: We recognize that our clients are really hard to please, kids are consumers extremely honest about the perception and what they think about a service offered to them but we also recognize that the segment of the market we are directing our service (Kids market) are small groups of people that receiving the service in different ways may perceived in a positive way taking us to the success and the fidelity of the customer.

Shy kids: This type of client is really hard to please, shy kids may put barriers to our employees keeping us away from our main objective that is that the young boy or girl enjoys the unique experience of a hair cut and in the same way we can get away from the chance to give this kid a great look satisfying their parents desire. This kids usually are between the 7 to 10 years, are in the stage were kids apparently are shy over everything, we know that this group likes more outdoor activities such as football, riding bike, basketball, etc.

Hyperactive kid: This type of client is characterized by a super honest personality and also by the extra energy. According to the some results, these clients are between 4 to 6 years, and their preferences in terms of toys are the Barbie’s and car toys. Are the hardest clients to please but also the ones who give plus fun to our experience.

Pre teens: Kids that belong to these category are between the 11 to 14 years, their favorite activity are the videos games and in terms of style they just want something classy but stylish. Pre teens give us a fresh touch to our experience due to the fact they always want to be in trend

After asking 100 people about an exclusive hair saloon for kids this is the most relevant aspects we find out:

As seen in the results, Bogotá is not a city were you can find a place that exclusively offers a service of hair cuts to the kids, one more reason that motivates us to create and be pioneers in this industry. On the other hand, the survey also shown that this idea would be received pretty well among Bogotá citizens.

The survey also throws some interesting percentage of people who will invest in a specialized service for their kids or brothers. This result will definitely help us to know how much impact our business will have on the market and how to minimize the impact in the customers.

Pricing is one of the most important aspects that the marketing research helps to establish. Customers want a good service under a reasonable price. The survey throws that our clients rather prices between $5.000 and $15.000.

The test marketing was developed by a survey made to 100 parents and big brothers. We obtained the next results:

Most of the 50% of people who take the survey don’t know about a hair saloon directed to kids.

People belonging to stratum 4 and 5, are the most willing to pay for an special service for kids

Customers will not pay more than 15.000 pesos for a haircut but will not pay less than 5.000 pesos.

CONCLUSION: Test marketing helps us to determine market trends such as the preference of who will cut customers hair, the pricess they are willing to pay and the kind of unique service they want to receive. This research also clarify our view and we can see better our horizon and our ideas and goals are more attached to Earth, now is easier to identify and recognize which factors and objectives will leads us to success and in the same way will turn us pioneers in this business.

In order to establish our prices we take into account our biggest competition in Bogotá, “Norberto peluquerias”. Despite is not a hair saloon specialized in kids, offers services for them and is our biggest competition right know. Our prices are lower because we want to be more accessible to every type of customers and not be exclusive as our competition, but our lower prices are offset with the great quality we offer.
