Integrating Strategy and Culture

Organizational culture can be defined as attitudes, beliefs and values of the company and is important in the organization because it helps the company to adapt to external changes easily and provide an internal integration.

 

Organizational culture can also strengthen or weaken the company, with a strong culture the members of the company will be able to be coordinated and directed in the best way, there will be an internal integration of the company which will help to overcome external factors but if the culture is weak, the company will not be able to meet the planned strategies and goals and it wouldnt be easy to coordinate the organization as a whole.

 

It is important to note that the culture of an organization is unique and includes the entire organization.

 

Cultural factors include the following:

  • Values

  • Beliefs

  • Rites and Rituals

  • Ceremonies

  • Myths

  • Stories

  • Legends

  • Sagas

  • Language

  • Metaphors

  • Symbols

  • Heroes /Heroines

These previously mentioned factors or dimensions are levers that can be used to influence the followings strategies:

 

  • Formulation

  • Implementation

  • Evaluation

 

 

Concluding the above mentioned, culture and strategies must work together because the cultural dimensions of orgamizacion permeate all functional areas of the company.

 

 

 

Our company has the following organizational culture:

 

 

 

Rituals:

Are actions that are routinely done in the organization and in our company are: our rituals are based on each morning to greet colleagues to make a good atmosphere within the company, friendly behavior with customer by offering them always drinks and magazines.

 

In special seasons such as Halloween, Christmas, etc. The company will be given free meals to our employees and to our customers we will give them small details.

 

When an employee meets years will be given the day off for the performance of the company is efficient.

If one of our customers birthday the company will be given a small cake to the customer and all employees will sing happy birthday and so the customer will feel special in our hairdressing.

 

 

 

Ceremonies:

Ceremonies are meetings, celebrations and entertainment to celebrate the achievements made by a company or to integrate employees.

 

In our company, at the end of each year will meet all personnel of the company and the successes achieved during the year and thus employees were integrated to be held and this will result in the union of all workers which is very good for business and that communication between them will be efficient.

 

 

 

Symbols:

symbols are the material elements that a company needs in order to create ownership and also symbols have a multitude of meanings for the organization.

 

In our company, the decoration of the place will be colorful to encourage creativity and this will provide a striking environment for children.

 

The logo of our hairdresser will be in some parts of our facilities to create meaning of belonging to our company.

 

 

 

Values:

Values are the moral convictions that organization has, in our company it will be essential to respect among peers, using a proper vocabulary within the hairdressing and collaboration among employees to succeed and thus customers will also be comfortable with the work environment of the hairdresser.

 

 

 

Beliefs:

Beliefs are ideologies that a company and can not be observed on the ground.

 

As a company we have as belief that our children hairdresser will provide a space for relaxation, fun and a unique experience and also we believe that it is our duty to listen to suggestions from our customers depart continually improve and completely satisfy them.

We believe that our service will be one of the bases of differentiation of our hairdresser to the competition.

 

We believe that good customer care is one of our priorities and that in this way we will attract more customers.

 

 

 

Language:

Language  represents how employees should communicate within the company, our hairdresser must have a  respectful language within the company, the comunnicacion should be clear and understandable to avoid mistakes and misunderstandings. the comunnicacion is essential when you want to have an optimal working environment.
