This part describe all the activities that are made inside the beauty salon that end in all the activities to serve the costumer. To achieve the best service to the kids and family there are 5 function that our company have to achieve.

Process, in this we have to choose what kind of technology we want to use, our business is focus in kids so we want to apply technology for them, such as TV, video games and make am environment friendly for the kids and also an entertainment for them. On the other hand our company will have all the instruments to bring the best service of beauty, for this we need a hairdryers, hair straightens.

Other aspects to take care are the raw materials, in this case are the products that our company will use, all this products such as shampoo, conditioner, polish, hair creams will be transported by the provider “Salon pro” which is an important distribution and wholesaler company.

An important fact is where the company will be, our company is segmented for families that can afford a service just for kids, and an accurate place in Bogota is Multicentro, that neighbor is perfect to locate the hair salon for kids because is very accurate and have a lot of movement of families.

 

Capacity, in capacity we took decisions about space of the place, planning of staff, and how we are going to organize the salon to achieve a good service. First of all in a beginning the place is design to receive families that are waiting for their kids, so it will be a place where they can wait, and in another room will be for hair dressers, initially there will be 5 chairs for all the process of cutting and styling the hair, two hair washing zones, and to for nails, in total there will be 9 different spaces of work and the receptionist place. Our hair salon  will work all seven days of a week, in schedule of Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 7pm and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 9am to 5pm. The staff will be rotating in morning schedule and pm schedule, working at least 7 hours a day.

For provide a better service to customers all workers will have an appointment book where they can reserve their favorite hairdresser, this will provide a more organize environment and reduce the waiting time of the families.

 

Inventory, for make inventory we have to make a goal of production, the goal is to provide every day 10 services, and in weekend 20, it will make a week 90 services. Our inventory will be base in this, all products such as shampoos, conditioners, creams, hair splash, nail polish will be ordered every 15 days, and manage a stock place, where there will be place inventory  that will be use if the one that was evaluated for the week is finish we can still work and give a service. A shampoo and a conditioner that is provide by salon pro reaches for 15 washes, and the hair cream and splash to 20 to 25 uses. So we will have to ask for 15 days, 12 shampoo and conditioners and 9 of hair cream and splash, and nail polish at least 6 of each one of stock every month.

Initial inventory:

- 2 Chairs for hair wash

- 2 special chairs for have nails done

- 3 sofas for the waiting room

- 3 TV’s

- 2 video games (Xbox)

- 5 hair dryers

-Hair straighter

 

Inventory every 15 days

• 12 shampoo of 1000 ml

• 12 conditioner of 1000 ml

• 9 of hair cream and treatment of 1000 ml

• 9 Splash for hair 1000 ml

• 10 nail polish of different colors

• Gifts for kids 

 

      

Workforce, when it comes to employees there are 5 employees in our hair salon that take care of the good service, there will be two specialist in hair style, two that are the ones of hair wash, nails, and other treatments, and one that will be the manager that take care of money, make parents comfort, make sure that everything is in place and clean, and the one to take care of the inventory, and ask for products.  A goal of our company is to make sure that all employees are happy in what they are doing and make a workplace the best place for them, so is important to motivate them and give them holidays, schedule their time so they are organize, give them free time, and this will provide good work levels, and a good quality of their jobs.

 

Quality, to make sure that the quality standards are taking place we have to make sure that all the chain of products are in good quality, starting for the providers, we have to make sure that the product that we are receiving are in good quality, for this we have to take record of all expiration date, and that the products rotate in a way that the older products are on top so they are used first. On the other hand there have to be a maintenance of all equipment at least once a month, of chairs, TV’s, hair dryers, all equipment so this will provide a good quality in all service, also is important what our costumers think about our service and in which aspects we can improve, so there will be a suggestion box where they can say what are they opinions and if what they are paying is right for what they are having.
